There are 50 different machines I can quote to you... until I have your minimum requirements, It's pointless to quote you a machine.

Typically you can find power 3 workstations on ebay for about $250-$300. They are good for running AIX 5.3 and learning some commands as well as LVM. If you want to run AIX 6, you'll need a power 4 processor or better. You also need Power 4 or higher for virtualization with an APV (Andvanced Power Virtualization - now known as PowerVM) license. This could cost quite a bit. |
