All work no play... somethin... somethin

Music is pretty important to me. Although I have come to the point in my life were new music isn't so good anymore. Being 25 I have already shored up and solidified my music tastes, the music my kids will complain about while in return I complain about theirs.

So what is everybody listening to?

Currently at my desk I have Toadies: rubberneck playing and in my car cd player I have Blaster the Rocket Man: The Anatomy of a Monster

Re: All work no play... somethin... somethin

Decent.

I have enjoyed a wide range of music over the years. Spent a number of those collecting vinyl (1000+) and playing music to those that would listen (house and garage) in small clubs around manchester (england) and france and italy (where my sister lived for a couple of years).

Have only just recently purchased new music (jack johnson, sandi thom) but regular have phases of going through my tastes over the past 20 years (i'm 31). Anything from Hip Hop (EPMD, Arrested Developmnent, De La Soul) to REM, Talking Heads (wicked band) right through to Paul Simon

Anyway, best get on, have got an assignment that needs handing in on monday for my masters degree (more work than I envisaged !!)

Good thread, hopefully get a few more posts

BTW

Haven't seen Fred around for a few weeks !!

Steve

Talking Heads are FABULOUS! I would pay big $$$ for a reunion tour ticket. I'm very upset that I was never able to see them live. I will just have to settle for the "Stop Making Sense" DVD.

Talking Heads were a good band but I don't think I would pay a whole lot to see them even though "Take Me to the River" is one of my all time favorite songs. I'm more into classic rock and heavy metal like Guns and Roses, ACDC, Black Sabbath and stuff along those lines, but then I grew up listening to it (I'll be 49 next month)
