Hi all! I have a student from one of my AIX classes who is having a problem with their system. He has installed a Global Plus application on their p570 (Power6) machine running AIX5.2. When he tried to run the application, the following error occured: Error mapping Fixed Shared Memory [SI-F-SHMEMNOTEXISTS] The shared memory (global section) does not exists> fsm__Init Both the application and AIX are 64-bit. Any suggestions on what we can do? Regards, Bing |

I beg to differ Jan. The power6 p570, 9117-MMA, the first power6 box released, supports AIX from 5.2 TL10. No other p6 box supports AIX 5.2 but the rest came out quite a bit later. bbb08, I do not recognise this as an AIX error, where is it reported? I would check with the application provider first if they support the p6 environment. |
