| Hi, Recently I got a new P5 510 Server and i have to install Aix on it, Howver my problem is that I don't have HMC and I installed PCI X graphics card also but i am not getting any display. Can anyone guide me how can i install AIX on it. I have tried using serial cable also but it only gives fsp login

If you login to ASMI (FSP) on T1 port, (admin/admin) , you will eventually reach the sp mmenu. From there you can set the boot to go to sms and select cd to install from, or just a default service boot. Then use menus to power on, and you should be able to load aix through that serial port. |

| Hi, Boot the system to SMS by pressing 1 key on your keyboad, once ur in the sms menu select boot options then configure boot device then list all devices then select the ide cdrom drive as a boot device, press enter to save the config and boot the system in normal mode. now the system will boot from the cdrom and will allow u to install the AIX System. |
