Hi all, I'm new to the IBM/AIX world. I generally work with Sun, Linux, and HPUX. I'm finding it hard to find some of the technical specs I need to present to management. I've found some of what I need for the p570, but am having more trouble findint it for the p550 and p520. Specifically, I'm looking for how many BTU/hr a fully loaded p550 and p520 take. In addition, the number of rack units for each would be helpful as well as the number of power supplies and type of power plug each uses. I would've thought that this information would be available on IBM's tech spec sheets, but I can't seem to find them. I did find the BTU/hr for the p570 on this site when someone made a similar post to mine, so that's why I was hoping someone could help me out with these requests. If anyone has any docs comparing these p6 boxes with some of the Sun servers (M5000, for example), that'd be great too - but I've already found some documents comparing the two. ![]() Thanks for your help everyone! EDIT: Here's the type of info I have no problem finding - but I don't see the number of power supplies, type of plug, BTUs, Watts, and rack units listed! ![]() (ok, I had a link, but since I'm new I'm not allowed to post it - sorry )EDIT2: I found the info on IBM's site under a different "documetnation" section. I'd post a link, but agian.... Last edited by Fezmid; February 18th, 2008 at 18:40. |

Hello, You can look in the IBM sales manual for each of the products. Here's the very long link to the sales manual: IBM Offering Information error page) Do a search for each product; P6 520 is a 8203-E4A, P6 550 is a 8204-E8A, and P6 570 is a 9117-MMA. The specs you're looking for should be under the "Technical Description" heading which you can jump to by selecting the link under the table of contents at the top of the page. |
