Hi, I am quite new to IBM's p-series, so I might be missing something big

Some time ago I've received a box with a shiny new p5 9110-510. Following the quick start guide, I switched the power cord in it, operations panel showed "01", and I was able to reach service processor's Web server via HMC ethernet ports (I don't have an HMC itself, so I used a way with a laptop attached).

After that, once I've found out we forgot to buy VTE activation codes, the system stayed switched off for quite some time (even without a power cord, that is). Now, having received the codes, I try to bring it up -- and I can't reach a service processor anymore! If I plug in a power cord, after a few moments a green light starts to blink on the operation panel on the front -- and that's it. No "01", no link in both HMC ports.
I tried browsing documentation, but it is quite arcane, and I didn't even find the meanings of the lights
What might be the problem and how should I proceed?

Ah, found it. Just a network misconfiguration.
