no nfso vmo ioo I followed the advice in Tuning a Perfect Note by Jaqui Lynch but it, after reboot, seems to run extremely badly (not ot mention the inittab screwup I posted in another thread) |

Each comman has a -D option to reset them to the default. You will need to reboot the server after this to activate all the options. When making tuning changes, its best to make them one at a time so you can backout ones that do not work.

Yes it works, but that is what is used to set the tunables that you require. Depends where you want to back out to. This command can only be used with the inittab, so be careful. If you have bad tuning then ioo -D etc etc will get you back to the base state to allow you to start again.

vmo: 1485-115 Tunable mbuf_heap_psize is of type B and cannot be changed without -r vmo: 1485-115 Tunable kernel_psize is of type B and cannot be changed without -r but the rest is reset. And you are right, I should do it stepwise but I was in a crisis (are'nt we often) with not spawning and I overreacted. My other wuestion at http://www.pseriestech.org/forum/pse...race-2068.html (inittab execution trace) is another example of my stupidity. |
