Hi everybody, We have configured two IP address on a both onboard Ethernet ports on a p520Q. One address for each port. Whenever one of the network cables are pulled out from one of the ports, the other Ethernet adapter starts to fail on the network. Is this a configuration problem (on the AIX), or a hardware failure? We have 3 different servers on different locations with the same symptom. Tks |

I think if you need redundant network by using two network adapter. you can user etherchannel. using this both physical adapter make a logical adapter and you assigne ip-addr to this logical adapter. one any one pulls the cable from one NIC it will automatically comes to another. cheers Purushottam
