Looking for anyone that has upgraded 7310-CR3 HMC from v6.1 to v7.3 and if you experienced any negative affects from the upgrade (slow downs, "undocumented features" (bugs) etc) Currently have 15 Power 5 managed systems (51A, 55A, 595(vio)) on this HMC many of which are PRODUCTION servers.          |

I have upgraded 2 HMCs from HMC6.1 to HMC V7 R3.3.0.2. I am having no issues. If your company is going to buy power 6 hardware then you need V7 anyway. I had issue while creating sysplan for the manage systems but now I am able to create sysplan for power 5 and power 6 55A machines. You can export and ftp sysplans from HMC in XML format. Then you can convert XML to web format. |
