on AIX 6.1, I can see only one of the ports on a dual port FC card. It gives me the above error when I run cfgmgr, I get the error /usr/lib/methods/cfgefscsi -l fscsi0. This FC card is on p6 595. Any idea whay that is. Do I need to install additional driver on AIX or the problem is on the FC switch side. Last edited by Neli Momtaheni; March 11th, 2009 at 17:18. Hi Have you applied latest technology levels for AIX6?. What about latest microcode level for that adapter. You can download from IBM Site. If so, then you can just remove all adapter from the pci adapter lsslot -c slot Let's say your adapter is on pci5: rmdev -Rdl pci5 then reconfig by running: cfgmgr -v check for any message. If there's still the problem you can run diag command in order to make a HW diagnostic of that adapter but AFAIR you will need a wrap plug to close the circuit inside the adapter. Hope this helps
