As a developer working on the *nix part of my company's product, I am responsible for the *nix farm, which includes two old AIX boxes. I'm currently preparing a proposal to buy a new p5 with all the virtualization bells & whistles. I found this forum during a web search for the pros and cons of using an HMC versus the Integrated Virtualization Manager (IVM). I've only been working with AIX since September 2006, so I'm looking forward to learning some in-depth secrets about AIX virtualization. Thanks for setting up this online community.
