Hi, I found about this site while googling for a forum in AIX. My name is Durga and I am a Database Consultant with good knowledge of Unix (commands and shell scripting), Oracle and Programming. Currently I am working for ERCOT in their Information Services team. It comprises of Oracle, Informatica, Cognos, Goldengate etc. ERCOT is the first place where I came to know about p595 series. Before that I never heard (might not have understood) similar to that. Once I start understanding basics of p595 and LPAR, I felt it is interesting and started gathering information. We have very good DBAs in our team, but our storage and Unix admin team is very much closed. Unix and storage admins are not easily accessible to others as ERCOT dont want to take chance on seurity. So, I started searching about some fundamentals on p595 and storage. I am naive to this area and want to gain some knowledge to see my self as architect in foreseeable future. Thank you very much.
