This site has a lot of good information/posts. I have been reading since I found this site yesterday.

I stumbled across the site via a google search for AIX and LDAP ... the article is exactly what we were looking for to get us heading in the right direction I believe.

I dabble in Linux and have been trying to convert my own personal life away from Microsoft and their licensed products/religion ... I have found that most of the office-type products will do just as good of a job for what I need on a personal level.

Been working with AIX for about 12 years now ... HACMP for about 7 ... I don't consider myself a "master" or anything like that ... I know what I know, and I'm not out to prove anyone wrong just do my job, support my family and survive. I rely upon communities like this to survive the corporate world and everything that it has evolved into and I hope that I can, in return, help someone else out with what whatever I know or pick up along the way.

Screenname/login name explanation ... no it is no to feed my ego ... it was given to me by my Father-in-law for fixing his PC everytime my wife and I went to visit. He passed away about 5 years ago and I use it as a remembrance to him ... he was a very unique individual ... and yes ... I do have a crown; my Mother-in-law bought it for me. ;-))

Anyway ... I'm glad I have found the forum ... back to reading!
