Currently Unix team Lead at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. We have two P670s with AIX 5.2. We are predominately a solaris shop, so AIX is a little foreign to us! .

Hi

Well, try to upgrade to AIX 5.3 and enjoy using DLPAR of your I/O adapters. We use only one HBA zoned to our Tape Library tapes drives and move that HBA to the different LPARS to perform LANFree backup.

errrm, you can't use Virtual I/O with a p670 - the hardware doesn't support it - you need POWER5

Just remember that everything in aix is not always in a config file... >Get used to smitty and odm and you'll be fine

just accept it - and aix is your friend..
If you don't - bail out
