Hi all, another new member to this forum! ![]() I'm Rene, born and lived all my life in Rotterdam, Holland, but now living in Leerdam...girlfriend couldn't be persuaded to come to Rotterdam ![]() I've been interested in Unix and Unix hardware for a long time (i own several Sun/SGI/RS6000 machines, plus some Cabletron FDDI equipment), and for some time it's been my job now. I recently changed jobs to an IBM/HP solution provider to become a Technical Consultant, before this i've worked for the KLM for 2 years as a 2nd line Unix engineer...and before that i worked for 6 years at a accountancy firm as a general IT engineer (Novell, Linux, MS, networking). I've also maintained F-16's for about 3 years, but that's another story ![]() After work i like to tinker with my ancient, exotic gear (the earlier mentioned machinery), do some fitness, ride my motorcycle, play videogames with friends, read, play my music, and generally have a good time with friends and family. Hopefully this forum can help me learn a lot more about AIX and the POWER hardware, if possible i will throw in my 2 cents to help others ![]()
