Hi all,

another new member to this forum!

I'm Rene, born and lived all my life in Rotterdam, Holland, but now living in Leerdam...girlfriend couldn't be persuaded to come to Rotterdam
I've been interested in Unix and Unix hardware for a long time (i own several Sun/SGI/RS6000 machines, plus some Cabletron FDDI equipment), and for some time it's been my job now.

I recently changed jobs to an IBM/HP solution provider to become a Technical Consultant, before this i've worked for the KLM for 2 years as a 2nd line Unix engineer...and before that i worked for 6 years at a accountancy firm as a general IT engineer (Novell, Linux, MS, networking).
I've also maintained F-16's for about 3 years, but that's another story

After work i like to tinker with my ancient, exotic gear (the earlier mentioned machinery), do some fitness, ride my motorcycle, play videogames with friends, read, play my music, and generally have a good time with friends and family.

Hopefully this forum can help me learn a lot more about AIX and the POWER hardware, if possible i will throw in my 2 cents to help others
