I'm installing a p570 server with multiple partitions., I've defined and installed two VIO sever partitions, I've defined a new partition and when I active the partitions it boots from cd (or dvd) but got a yast2 error (core dump), I've tried to start the partition in rescue mode with the same distro and it seens to work fine and ''ve tried to install redHat 4 in this partitions abd it also works fine. The problem seens tobee starting yast2 in the procces of install SuSe 10 Cab abybody hel me? thanks a lot |

I installed suse 10 from a term window off of WebSM and had trouble seeing all the options, I later did it again by sshing to my HMC and then typing the 'vtmenu' command. An interactive set of menus let me open up a console through ssh via putty and the text based install menus worked fine. I suspect that the WebSM way would have worked too had I set TERM at exactly the right moment of the install process. |
