I am running a 7310CR3 w/9115-505 and APV. I understand that I need a particular ditribution of RHEL to load my Linux lpar and that is the version for Power PC. Can any tell me the what the diff is between RHEL and RHEL PPC?

Hi RHEL for PPC(64) is the version of Linux Redhat compiled in a CICS PowerPC processor based server. That is the main difference, the processor type. If you want to use the dlpar features (moving resources between lpars) you have to install the required rpms: Dynamic logical partitioning for Linux on POWER Hope this helps

Thank you for the response that is what i found out later in my day..my issue was that the RH distro that was given to me to load was not a correct distro copy..I did manage to rip a copy of RHEL4 ppc 64 so i am good..Regards
