My memory is failing me, and I can't find this in a doc. My LPAR training manual says to make a new LV on a VIO, I need to issue this command: mklv -lv NewLogicalVolume -prefix Prefix VolumGroup Size [ Physical Volumes ] I can't remember what the prefix param does. Can anyone give me a pointer? Thanks! Dave |

you use -lv lvname or -prefix Prefix -lv specifies the lv name as opposed to using a system generated name -prefix specifies the prefix top use instead of the prefix in a system generated lv name. have a look at page 74 of the following - http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoce...s/commands.pdf hope this helps |
