Hi there, I need you help on this scenario. I have a database LPAR temporary housed on a p5 570 to wait for a p5 55A to be build. Now we have a p5 55A ready to go. We would like to move an image of the current LPAR to the new LPAR. What do I need to do to make this happens given the p5 570 and p5 55A are located in different city, on diffrerent network and have connected to different HMC? Thanks in advance for your help. |

take an mksysb image for the rootvg vg , for the external disks you have many options , depend from your actual configuration .... ... then restore the image on a identically profile on other p5 , surely you must reconfigure the "defined" missing devices . in this case if you have the possibility of move physically the internal disks from one p5 to another , alt_disk_install have an option for no save internal devices . |
