Hi , Everybody! I have some problems with interpartitional networking probably. It was installed VIOS, 1 AIX partition and 7 Linux partitions(Red Hat 4 Enterprise Update 6) . Access to partitions is through LHEA. It was necessary to copy some files from one partition to another. Some partitions was working good (Normal copy speed). But some of them when i start copy the is slow about 8 kB/s and constantly stops. I don't know where is the problem. There is no difference between them. Could anybody advice something? PS! Sorry for my english'. |

The fastest connection between LPARs pn the same physical server is to create a virtual ethernat adapter on each LPAR and assign them to the same VLAN ID. Configure the IP address with a private subnet in according with RFC 1597: 172.16.0.0 10.10.0.0 192.168.0.0

THNX for helping everybody. Ok i will put every partition virtual ethernet adapter to the same ID . What configuraration should be in Linux for this adapters. What will be gateway for example ? |
