Hi,

I'm looking for what is the range of partition ID I could allocate to LPAR on a P570 server ?
For example, on a P5-520, the number must be a number from 1 to 20. It should be a larger range on a P5-570. Could someone confirm me this please ?

You can find this with the lssyscfg command.

lssyscfg -r sys -F max_lpars -m <managed system>

where <managed system> is tttt-mmm*ssssssss, where tttt is the machine type, mmm is the model, and ssssssss is the serial number of the managed system

You need to execute this lssyscfg command in the hmc shell .. Thus login with ssh to the hmc ..
example : ssh hscroot@yourhmc
