To move Internal DAT (tape) Drive to LPAR

Hi
i am having a p5-550 Server with 8HDDs and an internal DAT(tape) Drive which is connected storage controller, i got a VIO Server and 3 LPARS on that server, I am able to access my tape drive from VIO server, but how can i DLPAR this tape drive to other LPAR, is it required to install an addtional scsi controller for this purpose. I got HMC to manage this server.

Tape cannot be virtualized. What you can do is add an extra SCSI adapter, connect your tape to it and then you can dynamically move the tape around.
