I've got some problems with my IVM web access... It is possibel to telnet to the VIOS and log on. No problem... But when i try to open a web session, it takes minutes to open. At last, it would or give an timeout, or open the login page very slowly... Anyone seen this before? I don't see a lot of problems with networkconnections as i can perfectly logon to the vios with telnet AND it's served partitions.... x          |

This could be a couple of things: 1) How's the memory usage on your VIOS/IVM partition? If it's swapping to disk, it may take some time for the webserver to swap back in. Run topas and see whether you see a whole lot of disk activity when you try and login. 2) Network. If there are DNS issues in your network config, ther may be long timeouts while it attempts to do DNS lookups. Has this always been a problem, or did it just start up on this system? |
