I'm having trouble installing the VIO server on my 9133-55A. I've got the partition created as a VIO server and defined all of the necessary resources to the partition. Then I insert the VIO server disk into my HMC, open a terminal and run the command installios. I run through all of the menus and everything seems to go fine, takes a few minutes to run through some install stuff, then the terminal shows that it shuts down the partition and then reopens it, and it always hangs with an error of 0622 in the operating panel. Do I need to define the VIO server partition to boot from its ethernet adapter and point it to the HMC as its server before I run the installios command? It restarts the vio server partition to push out the VIO server mksysb via a stripped down version of NIM correct? any help would be greatly appreciated. |
