I found this post while looking for people who are using pseries virtualization. Why you say? Because I want to offer them a trip to the IBM lab to discuss management of partitions with the IBM usability engineers. See, IBM has a program called User Centered Design, and when they are working on new products, they actually sponsor (that's pay travel expenses) for people to come in a day or two to look at what's going on and give them opinions.
So, basically, that's how I found this spot. If anyone is interested in taking part in these IBM trips/projects, I would be happy to let them know about it.
In fact, I am looking for one customer now, which must meet rigorous qualifications: manage 5 or more virtual footprints & work for a company that has between 100-1000 employees. Yep! This one is difficult; I have no clue where I will find such a person. Actually 2 people: 1 for pseries & 1 for xseries.
Oh, and if you are interested in these research projects, I can let you know about them when they come up, so maybe you could go to one. At this time I only have 2 active projects: one for customers in San Diego and this virtual one which is for customers in the US or Canada.
Actually, I enjoy my job... giving away all-expenses-paid trips to the IBM lab!
So, let me know if you are interested... it's up to you; IBM is paying.
