I have a dual VIO server configuration. My client LPAR is being presented a virtual SCSI adapter from each VIO server. I'm using MPIO on the client LPAR. When I reboot the client LPAR with the only first VIO server up, the client reboots fine. If I reboot with only the second VIO server up, the client LPAR stops at the SMS menu and I have to manually select the virtual SCSI adapter from the second VIO server to get it to boot. How can I tell the client LPAR use whatever path is available during boot? |

Jayrd I believe you may want to issue the following. # bootlist -m (normal or service) -o displays bootlist # bootlist -m (normal or service) (list of devices) change bootlist # bootinfo -b Identifies the bootable disk hope this helps. Martin |

Hi, You can also use SMS to chage your boot list at the SMS menu: 1° Select Boot Options (5) 2° Instead of choosing Select Install/Boot Device (1), choose Configure Boot Device Order (2), pick your drives and save the config. |
