Hi Guys, I just created 1 vio and 3 lpars as well mapped all the virtual scsi to each lpar. I used 1 disk with 143gb for the 3 lpars and assigned 40Gb to each of them, now I'm trying to install OS on each lpars... but my lpar1 only sees the cdrom and 1 ethernet.. My question is, where should I see the 40Gb that I have assigned to the lpar? Am I doing the right thing? Im new to virtualization.... please help.... Thanks |

What do you mean by only "sees" the cdrom and the ethernet? You won't see the hard disk as a bootable device at SMS level until you've inatlled the OS on it. For that you need to boot from CD-ROM or from a NIM server. Double check your disk mappings if it cannot install the OS.
