Best way to add HD to the VIO server

I've got a p570 running two active LPARS and a VIO server. I've just received an additional drive that I intend to carve up into rootvg's for 2 or 3 more LPARS. Being a spoiled AIX admin, I'd usually just throw the drive in the proper slot, and run cfgmgr -v and watch the fun. Is there anything else I need to do on the VIO server? Will the padmin login on the VIO server let me run cfgmgr?

From VIOS command line for the padmin account, the command you'd use is cfgdev which does the same thing as cfgmgr at the root prompt, or you could enter this command as padmin:

> oem_setup_env

Yep, thats the AIX root prompt.
