Hi! I did not found the right answer in this forums, so I try to post a new question... I have configured a new P51A. I connected a PC to the HMC1-Port on the backside, using 192.168.2.147 with a web browser. In the web-interface, I changed the network-adress to a new adress: 10.10.1.1/255.255.255.0 After clicking to do this change, I was cut off: its ok, because my PC is on the old net. But after changing the address of my PC, I cannot connect to the web-interface. I have resetted the Service-processor, but no chance. I can ping on the new adress 10.10.1.1, but thats all. How can I get access again? The second interface also gives me an answer on the ping to 192.168.3.147, but also no web-connect. ??? What have I done wrong? |

I have seen this before.... I would suggest using a serial cable and connecting to the serial port on that server. You would be able to determine the current state of that service processor and your system. Also if you have a VGA card on that server, connect a screen and a keyboard, for when there's output (prob. only when you start installing the OS). I always have a serial cable in my bag, it always works! |
