Hi.

I have two lpars managed by an HMC V6.1.2.

I can move the DVD device (physical I/O devices) from one lpar to the other with the graphical menus.

How can I do that in the command line of the HMC?

Below follows the information of the I/O Device:

Hi.

I finally did it.

Here is the command to be used in the command line interface of the HMC:

chhwres -r io -m <server_name> -o m -p <lpar_source> -t <lpar_destiny> -l <drc-index> -w 15

where:
<server name>: "lssyscfg -r sys -F name"
<lpar names>: "lssyscfg -r lpar -m <server_name> -F name"
<drc-index>: "lshwres -m <server_name> -r io --rsubtype slot "
