Hi. I have two lpars managed by an HMC V6.1.2. I can move the DVD device (physical I/O devices) from one lpar to the other with the graphical menus. How can I do that in the command line of the HMC? Below follows the information of the I/O Device: lshwres -m <server_name> -r io --rsubtype slot --filter "lpar_names=<lpar_name>,buses=3" unit_phys_loc=U787F.001.DPM3LL5, bus_id=3, phys_loc=T12, drc_index=21010003, lpar_name=<lpar_name>, lpar_id=2, slot_io_pool_id=none, description=Other Mass Storage Controller, feature_codes=none, pci_vendor_id=105A, pci_device_id=1275, pci_subs_vendor_id=105A, pci_subs_device_id=1275, pci_class=0180, pci_revision_id=01, bus_grouping=0, iop=0, parent_slot_drc_index=none, drc_name=U787F.001.DPM3LL5-P1-T12 Thanks, Jorge. |

Hi. I finally did it. Here is the command to be used in the command line interface of the HMC: chhwres -r io -m <server_name> -o m -p <lpar_source> -t <lpar_destiny> -l <drc-index> -w 15 where: <server name>: "lssyscfg -r sys -F name" <lpar names>: "lssyscfg -r lpar -m <server_name> -F name" <drc-index>: "lshwres -m <server_name> -r io --rsubtype slot " Hope this helps someone. |
