Hi My customer has many pSeries servers connected to one HMC (looking for another one to make HMC high available) and recently did a buy of some iSeries servers. Now we are thinking why not connect such servers to the HMC so we might have a consolidated view of all IBM servers in the organization ??. We can do that, just need to connect iSeries to the ethernet switch and let DHCP assign ip address. But we have a problem, pSeries team is not the same as iSeries team and for security reasons is not such a good idea to let admins the power to power off or reset servers of another arquitecture. Is there any way in HMC to define groups of users to manage such a heterogeneous environment ?? Thanks in advanced

No, there isn't. My take is security of the servers is mandatory while a single pane of glass is nice to have. Security wins every time, especially if you are subject to SOX compliance.
