Hello, I am having a problem deleting the default lpar and profile from my managed 570 server. we have almost new dual 7310CR3 HMC's attached to a System p 570 managed server. We have the HMC's all setup and the 570 is seen as a managed server by the HMC.. However there is a default lpar and partition that showed up in the managed server lpar list and I cannot delete it. All the physical resources are assigned to it. There is a delete option when I right click on the lpar but when I try to delete I cannot...Has anyone had his problem before? What I had to do was ipl the server into standby mode so that partition does not auto start.

If the LPAR is the power controlling LPAR - which is the default you will not be able to delete it. BTW if you are using HMC 6.1.1 I'd upgrade to 6.1.2. as soon as possible.
