Is it possible to add a system that is running to an HMC? I thought that the systems were set by default to recieve a IP address by DHCP, but when I plug them into the switch with the HMC running DHCP, the managed system will not get an IP address. |

Hi, If the DCHP is not working you should verify the 2 HMC interfaces on the system. The default IP addresses are normally: 192.168.2.147 and 192.168.3.147 You can connect to these port directly using: https://192.168.2.147 or https://192.168.3.147 and verify the settings. If still not OK, you may choose to set static IP address of these 2 HMC ports on the system and then manually add them to the HMC. Hope this helps! kind regards yogeeraj |
