Hi Guys I have a quick HMC setup question i hope you can help with... Currently we have a single HMC (V7.3.3) with two ethernet cards (eth0 (10.46.23.x) and eth1 (10.46.24.x) ) (non-DHCP). This manages both p5 and p6 servers (with redundant FSPs). We want to add a 2nd HMC (at same HMC level). Do we just cable the IP on the new HMC to 2 new subnets (VLANs), then add the connections to the FSPs (mksysconn) of the current FSP IP addresses? Thanks !! |

as far as I am aware youve got 2 options, option1 have the 2nd HMC on its own private vlan using the SP2 ports on all the servers, which is the way we do it for most clients option2 have it setup on the same vlan with a static IP. Ive not done this yet, but need to do it at some point. |

You may want to have a look at the Data Replication options that keep your HMC's in sync. Ideally you should always use the same one for changes. |
