Add p520 to hmc

Add p520 to hmc

Hi, I have a p520 which is de-installed from HMC1 and connect to HMC2. the OS in the p520 is left intact. How do I activate this in the HMC2. Any suggestions?

Hi..

Just connect your HMC2 port on p520 to HMC2 Network.

1). if ur HMC2 is DHCP server then it will assign IP to HMC2 port of p520 and it will be automatically added to ur HMC2

2). if ur not using DHCP then assign IP to HMC2 Port of P520 in the range of HMC2. and discover the system.

from AIX OS u can just refresh rmc daemon.
