This contest will begin today and end on September 15th. There are the categories and prizes:

BEST TUTORIAL
The best tutorial will win an IBM OpenPower 710 w/ Redhat Enterprise Edition 4.0 for Power. (If you want AIX, that's up to you).

TOP RECRUITER
The user who refers the most new members will receive the iPod Touch with 16 GB of RAM. Keep in mind, I have toos that will quickly identified cloned users based on IP address, email address, and IP proxies aren't able to hide. For a user to count, they have to have more than 5 posts - meaning active contributing members - not signups that never join the community.

TOP WIKI AUTHOR
Overall quality matters most, but so do the number of entries. Five bad entries can be outdone by one very good one, while one very good entry can be beaten by 3 good ones. The winner will receive an iPhone 3G w/ 8GB RAM. It is your responsibility to provide cellular service.

I had planned on posting what I considered the best tutorials today and allowing the user community to vote for the next week to decide who would win first prize. However, no tutorials were posted.

Similarly, the referal count for the contest period is zero and the number of wiki articles posted was also zero.

So, since there was no participation, there are no prizes to award. I can't tell you, as a webmaster, how disappointing that is to me. With such a stunning like of participation, I now have to consider if this site should be shut down.
