This offer is made exclusively to our US and Canadian pSeriesTech users by vTech Solutions, Inc. ![]() IBM has agreed, for a limited time, to fund storage and server consolidation assessments through vTech Solutions, for those of you within the US and Canada. Why would IBM do this? IBM beleives that in an honest side-by-side technical analysis that includes a total cost of ownership (rather than just initial acquisition costs), they have the best, most cost-effective storage and server solutions. My biggest concern before agreeing to bring this offer to you was that the technical team performing the assessments was truly vendor neutral. After weeks of reviewing their work with other clients, I am satisfied that vTech Solutions maintains their independence from IBM and recommends the best solutions for the clients. The guidelines for being approved for a free assessment are simple: you must be a "competative account", which is IBM speak for saying you must have some type of non-IBM storage and/or servers. The assessments vTech Solutions performs are very high quality. The really do their homework and go well beyond simple rPerfs or throughput. They actually calculate savings based on floor space, power and cooling savings; reduction in operational costs, etc. For those of you that aren't considered "competetive accounts" but still feel you would benefit from a storage/and or server assessment, vTech Solutions has agreed to significant discount for you too. Normally, they charge $50,000 for an assessment, but have agreed to provide those services to our users at a 60% discount, or just $20,000. An assessment takes between 4 -8 weeks, depending upon your environment. The document they deliver is anywhere between 100 - 200 pages of good, solid data. If you are interested, contact vTech Solutions by email at pseriestech_offer@vtech-corp.com. [Note: For every assessment performed for our users, vTech Solutions has agreed to donate $750 back to our website. This will allow us to make significant upgrades and giveaway items such as a free week of IBM training or an IBM conference fee, etc.]
