hi friends when i'm issuing the command
'mount -v cdrfs -o ro /dev/cd0 /cdrom', i am getting the following error
mount: 0506-324 Cannot mount /dev/cd0 on /cdrom: There is a request to a device
or address that does not exist.
i have checked /etc/filesystems and i'm forwarding its contents
/dvd:
dev = /dev/cd0
vfs = cdrfs
mount = false
options = ro
account = false
/cdrom:
dev = /dev/cd0
vfs = cdrfs
mount = false
options = ro
account = false
/dev/cd0:
dev = /dev/cd0
vfs = cdrfs
mount = false
options = ro
account = false
the thing is that i tried mounting a new filesystem but still i got the same message as above.
i am also sending the output of :
root:/etc>lscfg |grep cd
+ cd0 U787A.001.DPM204C-P4-D2
root:/etc>lsdev -Cc cdrom
cd0 Available 07-08-00 IDE DVD-RAM Drive
friends please help me. i am confused. i have to take the backup and i am stuck with this problem.
