I have an AIX lpar on 9115-505 attached to a 7310-CR3. I have had to recover this lpar and profile data at on point and now I cannot seem to the resource controller daemon started..The services are not currently active and when I try to issue the startsrc -s ctrmc command I get a 0513-001 System Resource Controller Daemon not active. I am not sure what that means... I can see the daemons when i issue the lssrc -a command but cannot activate....Any one know of a workaround for this?

I'm somewhat shooting from the hip but it sounds like "Source Master" is not running. The process is called srcmstr. If you do: ps -ef | egrep srcmstr you should see it running. Why it is not running is the question. Did you look in the error log. Maybe it can help. It is started from inittab. You should have an entry in there for it. If it is not running, I would try to start it myself: /usr/sbin/srcmstr should run it. It may die with an error and let you know what is wrong. If that works, then I would reboot and hope that things come up better.
