standard aix syslogd will not do because it uses udp only, so use syslog-ng or sth similar. it's easy to set up a tunnel although I would not use ssh since it requires a user login to one host of each involved client/server host pairs. give stunnel a try (opensource, comes with bsd). use it to establish a SSL/TLS tunnel with optional client/server authentication without requiring any user login for tunnel setup. j.gann |

You can also try IPSEC if you want all the syslog info secured.
