I want to know how to set access control list in aix via smitty and command line?wheather we need to install additional packages?

i don't think you need any additional filesets. you need to look at the man pages for aclget, aclput, acledit etc.

You just need to set the editor you want to use. I rather use vi so:

export EDITOR=/usr/bin/vi

then

aclget /tmp/croutfHYiZE
*
* ACL_type AIXC
*
attributes:
base permissions
owner(root): rw-
group(system): ---
others: ---
extended permissions
disabled


You need to edit the acl settings by issuing:

acledit /tmp/croutfHYiZE


and then just edit the extended permissions to enabled and create the ACL

attributes:
base permissions
owner(root): rw-
group(system): ---
others: ---
extended permissions
disabled

Please take a look of the acledit man pages
