i suggest you examine the sshd configuration (or release`?) and find out why sshd is unable to either detect or to log the IP adress the login originated from. would be a nice hint. |

hi guys, sorry for the delay in reply... @Seth - as suggested by you I have checked the parameters in the file "/etc/security/login.cfg", but i noticed that if I change those parameters, then my system will become more secure or restrict the unknown users logging into server rather then "Collecting the info about him"?. my concern is, I need the info about: 1. User trying to access the server 2. IP address of the remote server 3. Terminal and port details(if possible) @gann, will sshd detect this and collects the info ?
