Hi pSeries guys, is there any possibility to restore a mksysb image without a tapedrive and without a NIM Server? So I wanna store my mksysbs into a nfs share and later on i want to restore my maschine from the nfs share. What can i do in such a situation? regards... |

NIM is built around nfs so you would need NIM in order to restore via NFS. When you restore from an mksysb you need a spot as well as an mksysb in order to have the correct network protocols,. In all honesty why wouldn't you just have a nim server in this case if you have a suitable nfs server around?
