Re-linking Oracle

Re-linking Oracle

Hello,
We run Oracle on our AIX 5.3 lpars. After a TL upgrade (ie, going from ML2 to ML3 or ML3 to ML4), is it necessary for the DBA to re-link the Oracle binaries ?? Thanks very much. Tom

I don't know about "Necessary" or not, but every Oracle DBA I've been involved with has always done so. If anyone figures out the Necessary part, please let me know as well.

As far as I know, our DBA has not had to do it. It was never even a part of the conversation when we did the last upgrade to ML4.
