Hi We have two p650 IBM machines which has two Fastt700 storage and VGs are mirrored across both the storage. It has a HACMP 5.3 clustering, one of a standby node we have received missing PVIDs in clverify.log, with the following. ----------------- ERROR: A disk with PVID 0053485a8cc3fb390000000000000000 is a part of the volume group my_vg participating in resource group rg02 on node ux1. Node ux5 is also part of this resource group, but it does not have this PVID defined as a part of this volume group. The list of PVIDs per volume group should be consistent for all nodes that can require access to this volume group. --------------------- This problem as per the IBM is caused by when one of the storage was switched off while other was alive. Now to recover that we IBM has provided the following: varyoffvg my_vg exportvg my_vg importvg -V 58 -y my_vg -n hdisk30 lspv | grep my_vg- Checked for PVID of all PVs chvg -Qn my_vg exportvg went fine, but while doing importvg, we are getting ux5 > importvg -V 58 -y my_vg -n hdisk46 0516-024 lqueryvg: Unable to open physical volume. Either PV was not configured or could not be opened. Run diagnostics. 0516-024 lqueryvg: Unable to open physical volume. Either PV was not configured or could not be opened. Run diagnostics. 0516-1140 importvg: Unable to read the volume group descriptor area on specified physical volume. Can anyone help whats wrong? The same solution (set of commands, above) went fine for a another VG with same issue. Regards Yashpal |
