| I am having a hard time trying to justify the purchase price of the IBM Performance Toolbox. In several articles I have read it seems to help bring out more information through SNMP as well as some "pretty" guis, but is it worth the price? Considering that I can write/have written scripts for SNMP to execute to give me the information that I want right now would this be a valuable addition to my AIX farm? Does anyone know what else this toolkit provides and/or experience with it? Thanks, Michael |

Is there any other option that I can grab the interface stats from besides PTX? Right now we are using Zenoss and Nagios to monitor the network and we really do not need another monitoring solution, just to be able to get these final pieces working over SNMP. |
