Yes, lets try this:

1. Do a "make clean".
2. Compile with a few extra options:

/configure --with-pear --with-gettext --with-mime-magic --enable-so=shared --with-apxs2

Let me know how that works. Just as an FYI, we're working on an Apache/PHP issue. This is definitely not an AIX specific thing, so we ARE going to get it fixed for you.

If u are online please i'll make --with-apxs2 as you have shown or as --with-apxs2=/..../apxs you mean.

Ok ill try it on monday morning when ill be back at work. I cant work remolty due to firewall configuration.
