Oracle 9i R2 on AIX 5.3 Installation Problems

Hello all,

I am installing oracle 9i R2 (9.2.0.1.0) on AIX 5.3 (oslevel -r = me 5300-03) on a pSeries server. I have copied the installation disks on to the local drive on the server and when I issued the ./runinstaller it is prompting whether the rootpre.sh has been executed by the root or no. I have already executed the rootpre.sh. So I am pressing y to continue. But the installation is failing immediately with the following erro:

./runinstaller[83]: ./runInstaller: not found.

Can anybody help me out immediately..

Hi

You need to review the .runInstaller
script and look for the line 83 in order to check if there's a call toa program that actually does not exist at all.

You need to look at line 83 of the runinstaller program. Also, make sure the entire install directory is owned by the oracle user that you are installing as.
