Current version os OpenSSH is: lslpp -l | grep openss openssh.base.client 4.3.0.5300 COMMITTED Open Secure Shell Commands openssh.base.server 4.3.0.5300 COMMITTED Open Secure Shell Server openssh.license 4.3.0.5300 COMMITTED Open Secure Shell License openssh.man.en_US 4.3.0.5300 COMMITTED Open Secure Shell openssh.msg.en_US 4.3.0.5300 COMMITTED Open Secure Shell Messages - openssh.base.client 4.3.0.5300 COMMITTED Open Secure Shell Commands openssh.base.server 4.3.0.5300 COMMITTED Open Secure Shell Server I'm applying same procedure i always have used with older versions of OpenSSh and it's not working at all. Do you know of any restriction or change in the way SSH works in this new version ?? Thanks in advanced

My keys work with the following version: openssh.base.server 4.3.0.5301 COMMITTED Open Secure Shell Server Common problems are Group write permission on the particular user's home directory Key entry in authorized_keys is not on a single line (usually when copied & pasted) ~/.ssh directory and it's contents having group/world write permissions If all else fails, use a couple of '-v' flags on the ssh command to see if anything useful is logged. Hope it helps. |
