I wanted to know how to boot client in maint_boot using nim. I saw above in your notes:

# nim –o maint_boot spot=spot1 sp-tsm2

I did that on my NIM master but still client didn't boot, sorry I am new in this, I know I am missing some steps.

what are next steps?

hi i have create a similar nim enviroment on a master machine and we sucesfully update a client from AIX 5300-03 to level 5300-04. To do this we create a spot and lppsource with the installation media of AIX 5300-04. Aditionaly we create another resources like mksysb images. The problem we have is that we couldn't start a nim boot from owers clients, the machine starts and says:
BOOTP: TFTP transfer failed, re-trying transfer...
BOOTP ERROR: TFTP of rest of blocks failed, giving up on !BA010005 !

The NFS of the images its correctly configured, we have a resource resolv_conf with the dns information about nim master.
What could be the problem?, i will appreciate some help
